Is it my imagination, or has there been an uptick in graffiti?

Is it a harbinger of a downturn?

Oh geesh. I thought this was done once and for all. It took almost 60 years.
I just hope it has no connection to the new immigrant poor flocking to our shores.

You would never ever say that if you owned your own home.

People need to speak up and complain.
This is a crime. A felony. It degrades.

Grafitti: to deface a property by spraying n a wall or surface in a public place.

2 simple ways in Confronting grafitti head on :

Fight fire with fire.
For years the red colored garage door to my home was the target of graffiti. One day I was ready with my gallon of red paint. It sat on the inside of my garage with the paint brush in the can and the lid just tight enough to lift. They sprayed . I painted over. They sprayed. I painted over. This went on for months. Then slowly faded away. My red garage door remained the beautiful color red for over 10 years.

Fight fire with fire:
Graffiti artist spray painted a masterpiece on my wooden fence. I took a photo and sold copies.
Artist lost all rights. I never gave him permission to use my fence as his canvas. Case closed.

Well put. My motto is: You frustrate me? I frustrate you. The minute any "art" shows up in my nabe, I'm out there to paint over their "masterpiece".
