Can we vote for dead people?
God rest your soul Mayor Koch.....
He'll get more done by saying nothing than dear old Billy boy.
Put his name on the ballot.............he's got my vote!
All you need do us pull the stake out of his heart and dribble some blood on his lips.
Do you think Mayor DeBlasio will entertain the idea of running for president?
Do you think that he can govern our country the same way he governs our city?
Would you want him to?
Do you think he has what it takes to bring balance to this nation?
The biggest problem with Democrats is that too many are throwing thier hats into the table, while at the same time no using logical reason to go against trump, and only want to go against trump for emotional reasons. So far impressed by former nycha tenant turned billionaire Howard Schultz who is running as an independent.
As for delbalsio? The fringes of the Democrat party many those who believe in intersectionality have become anti white male. The intersectionality can push weight and force moderate Democrats not to vote for white males even if the white male is an ally. If intersectionality keeps up. More and more whites males will vote independent or vote trump.
I'm more concerned about him trying to pull a Bloomberg 2.0, and find an excuse to run for a 3rd term as Mayor.
Cannot happen as it would involve a change in term limits laws and even Sam the Eagle along with city council don't have the balls to try that again. Bloomberg and that Quinn woman pulled it off but suffered in the end for their efforts. Besides Saint Vincent's the other main grudge against Christine Quinn was her cozying up to Bloomberg in order to overturn term limits. Remember CQ was under some sort of criminal investigation early in Bloomberg's first term. She could have run against his second term but with that scandal hanging over her head.....
Bloomberg and his supporters were shocked that his third term election had been so close. Had a few thousand more bothered to vote Fernando Ferrer would have won. A good part of this was anger by voters against Bloomberg and city council for over turning term limits.
One of the first things Bloomberg and Quinn did after winning their stolen third terms was to basically put back term limits to where they were previously, but let a few newly elected to council (like Debbie Rose) have their third terms.
Prior to last election and shortly thereafter BdeB, council speaker and others on city council floated idea of altering term limits, but this time by going to the voters. Their rationale was that in 2021 nearly entire city council along with mayor, comptroller, (then) public advocate, and IIRC borough presidents will be term limited out of office. Ever the concerned bunch they felt it was "unfair" to deprive voters of elected officials with any sort of long term history....
Idea was soon dropped and you've not heard much about it since. IIRC both charter review commissions (one set up by mayor, the other by city council) were supposed to consider putting to voters a change in term limits. It didn't happen.

I think Deblasio is smoking a lot crack. Him and cuomo are delusional. Bloomberg might have a shot although he's anti-gun and nanny statish. However, he gets stuff down and is not beholden to lobbyists.
