Will there be more direct flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm when it gets warmer? I want to go Scandinavia (those cities in particular) but I'm finding there there aren't many direct flights to that region at all out of JFK. There are a ton of connecting flights, but I hate those because they make the grueling process of flying even longer and make me more tired.
Because Scandinavians aren't coming here en masse. Their economies are very strong and they have a high quality of life. When I lived in Northern Italy, I knew a guy who would go regularly from Italy to Copenhagen. I asked him why. Said he loved it there...

I meet Scandinavian tourists and expats all the time in New York, though.
Airlines only do direct flight to locations that a lot of people are going to. If not, they don't do direct flights.
No direct flights from NYC means there is no market for it, so you have to first fly to where there IS a market then connect.
I know it's a supply and demand thing, but I'm surprised that the demand is apparently that low. It does seem like KLM does direct flights starting in May perhaps, I guess tourism to Scandinavia really picks up in the warmer months.

part of it is that their culture worships alcohol as much as, if not more, than jesus...
Many Aricans I met who visited Scandinavia liked the pretty scenery there but disliked the coldness of people...beware...you likely will wander around in the streets of Stockholm for a whole day without anyone interesting in talking to you...

Do you have any idea how cold and dark much of Scandinavia is during winter? Most places only get six or less hours of daylight with temps from cold to freezing if not in the minus range.
If winter is your thing, then by all means head up there; but most people seek warmer climates during colder months of year.

I've been to Germany before so I'm used to that.

I figure that the weather in Copenhagen will be tolerable enough by April
