A wooded area off the Grand Central Parkway was once known as the "Parkside Hill Community Garden." But's it's been a long time since residents planted anything there.
Tires, shopping carts, and trash are common now. Sometime last year, neighbors said, two men planted themselves here, pitching tents behind the thicket:
The resident said it was clear the men were skilled craftsmen and knew what they were doing. "They definitely have a power saw and a power drill," she said. "They have already built flooring, and started to build insulation."
I wouldnt have believed it if i didnt see it on that site. The actually had up frame work for insulation. Legit frame work lmao!!!
I have noticed less, BUT last Friday there was one on the A train, with his sweat pant legs pulled up and he was SHAVING HIS LEGS!!!
He was using some kind of lotion as a lube, and was using a razor to shave his legs...
Why would you think that is funny? This forum and NYC is chalk full of spoiled rotten brats. It is not a tough city anymore. It's a bunch of neato Millennials who have had everything handed to them on a silver platter. The system they gripe about has never skipped a single beat for any of them. They gripe and protest about having it made in the shade.
You even find mature people here who have everything they ever needed in life and complaining here. They got a college degree, wife, kids, stable job, big pension, houses, family, holidays, all the food and clothes and computers they ever needed. They come to City Data to gripe about how awful NYC is while the city provided for them the American Dream.

What does the above have to do with a homeless man shaving their legs on the subway?
Well if they ain't being allowed down in subway.........
Back in the day when NYPD really patrolled subways they'd come up to someone sleeping and whack the bench or seat with their nightstick; wake the person up and tell them to move along (out of station), or tell them to remain away until their stop and get off, or else.
Would do same thing at South ferry terminal and on the boats. Am here to tell you nothing makes more of a racket than a NYPD shillelagh whacking those wooden bench seats.
Had to admire way some of the guys carried/twirled their nightstick; now it just just another thing that hangs off most guys/girls hips swaying about.
Opinion:
I can never fully understand other than money why transit ,housing and city officers were merged into one.
