I love how people (not just limited to the OP . . . I see everyone do it) say that Biggie was from Bed Stuy. I've heard him claiming Bed Stuy, but he was from Clinton Hill (St. James and Fulton). To be fair, I guess you can say that he is a "Bed Stuy born rapper" if you consider Weeksville as part of Bed Stuy (which is technically is from a historical perspective, though most would consider it a part of Crown Heights) as he was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Weeksville.

Perhaps, I'm thinking earlier than the 90s, though. I grew up in Bed Stuy in the 90s (for anecdotal reference) and would never have considered St. James and Fulton to be Bed Stuy.
