Most basement apartments are illegal, I don't know why people don't find this out before they sign the lease.
I wouldn't think the LL is supposed to pay for a hotel for your stupidity. the LL didn't force you to sign the lease or move there for that matter. You did.

5 people died, and they werent in bed, which proves they were trying to get out, but couldnt. Some rooms had no windows.
