Half of NYC shooting surge linked to Brooklyn, NYPD says

Half of the shootings that have rattled New York City this summer happened in Brooklyn or have a strong link to the borough, the NYPD’s top cop said Tuesday.
“That’s a big problem,” NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said during an interview on NY1.
“What we’re starting to see, even shootings in other boroughs, when you dig a little deeper and peel back the onion, you see Brooklyn individuals and perpetrators with active gun cases in Brooklyn committing violence in other parts of the city.”
As of Sunday, 475 people had been shot in Brooklyn this year, accounting for just under half the victims citywide, NYPD statistics show. By this time last year, 234 Brooklynites had been shot.

Are they other gangs or local grudges? If so, that's not BLM or antifa. That's just good ol'fashioned home grown thuggery in action.

These shooting have nothing to do with blm or all that Jazz. It’s mainly gang shootings. I say let them kill each other. I just wish they would practice shooting a gun before jumping out of a car gun cocked sideways blasting like they saw on the last action movie flick. Then they miss their target and hit some random baby in a stroller.

Hopefully, the perps and victims are all lowlives but we all know that innocents like young children and bystanders get caught up in this mess.
Note that I said that Antifa, BLM and the current Mayor has created the ENVIRONMENT for crime to increase, I am not a cop, and can't assume who the criminals are affiliated with.

Of course I'll blame the Mayor's office and terrorist groups like Antifa and Democrat linked group BLM. I feel bad for the hard working, law abiding Brooklynites who not only have to deal with an increase in shootings but also have their boro blamed for them.

I don't know who is responsible for shootings however if it is bangers then I hope the continue to kill each other. Zero sympathy.
BLM protests have normalized robbing/looting in NYC, this mayors incompetance with respect to law and order, support for bail reform, vilification of NYPD all have created an environment where gangbangers or criminals of any stripe can commit crimes without impunity. As for Antifa, they are a domestic terrorist organization.
