But of course.

For the first time in 114 years, there will be no crowd in Times Square to cheer the famed New Year’s Eve ball drop.

Seize the day. The immediate future looks crappy. Why put off till tomorrow what you can do today?

I had been thinking about this. Not surprised, this event attracted hundreds of thousands. It was a no go once Bway and the marathon cancellations were announced. I spent many years fighting the crowd to get to the subway home. Its a dream or a rite of passage for many people. Its just another thing lost in year of madness 2020.

It will be over someday. I dont think that day is close either though.

I live close enough to the area that every year I would get these warning emails alerting me to pick up my bldg passes to show to the cops so I could have access to my bldg. I dreaded all the hassle that time of the year brought but this year...the holiday season is going to be weird. Like everything, this year is weird. And it seems like the next year will not be any different unless there's a vaccine quick.

When all of this first started in March, I thought it would just be a month or two until things got back to normal. And when people told me it would be more like late 2021 or even 2022, I went pshaw! Now...I'm not so sure. And I'm an eternal optimist!

It’s virtual for me every year.

I guess the tourism industry will be well dead into next year.

You have to be retarded to stand outside for hours and hours to see some ball drop, surrounded by masses with no quick escape route with possibility to be crushed.
Only thing more depressing than that is probably spending the new years in jail or Monticello motel with a bottle of Jack.

First of all, not a cool word to use buddy. And secondly what you and others enjoy may be different. Just because you don't enjoy what others do, no need to call them names.
