Best areas are all in the far west . Park slope , Brooklyn heights , dumbo , bay ridge and williamsburg ( Williamsburg is big though , williamsburg that is close to the water is a completely different and much better area then graham and bushwick avenue area )

Places like Bay Ridge have tons of nightlife but each of these areas has a totally different vibe. You're probably not going to see many hipster-types in Bay Ridge vs. some of the other neighborhoods listed here. Each neighborhood has their own feel.

Of course bro , I’m just saying areas that are actually good in Brooklyn. Hipster area doesent mean good and good area doesent mean hipster which I know you know but w
It depends on the preference and wants of the person asking . If it’s a young person who is looking for a vibrant area with a party atmosphere they would like a hipster one but if they like a place that’s a lil more quiet and down to earth they would prefer a different area .
Some people would say bushwick right off the top of their head because it’s been extremely thrown around as a a great hipster area because of some new bars , that’s good for a established adult looking for something urban and different but if your raising a family of young children in bushwick it’s a different story . The area is still one of the higher crime gang infested areas of Brooklyn . Like the quote goes “ different strokes for different folks “
I guess my definition of great nightlife is a bit different from others. If talking about bars and good restaurants, I think PH can hold its own. And then there are things to do at the museum, events at Barclays, BAM (adjacent to PH, yes, but a few blocks outside of borders), etc.
I understand what you mean, and I do think for many they mean something maybe a bit different and narrower when asking for nightlife which fit Williamsburg and Bushwick around the L train stops might fit better.

Person was single looking for young people, lots of good restaurants/nightlife and Bushwick around the L train stops up to at least Myrtle-Wyckoff maybe further fits that pretty well. Bushwick more towards Myrtle Ave, not as much, but has still seen quite a bit of change.

I agree , williamsburg west of the bqe is better for that type of night life but of course that would probably be a lil too pricey . At the same time though even bushwicks prices are insane now . I’m glad it has improved and has all the nice restaurents it has now , sadly it’s still in the middle of craziness. Guy got stabbed to death in broad daylight on knickerbocker few days ago
Still view Bushwick as a fun place to hangout, but I'd never live there personally. I'd do, pre-covid, near the industrial area since that's where a lot of the raves I went to were held and I LOVED the Well when it was around (closed permanently because of Covid). During and post-covid? I couldn't tell ya, but I'll let you know when we're allowed to do music events again.
Surprised no one said Greenpoint. Will be going there more often once St Vitus opens up again.

I never saw the allure of Greenpoint, most of the housing stock is super old
