Actually the reverse …what were bad areas when I was young are now the prime areas …the good areas which were where I was like Canarsie became MEH.

All those stops along the Canarsie line were terrible back then

I actually saw an entire thread on Twitter of people complaining about being unable to find an apartment in Brooklyn to rent, with an article attached.

Here's the Twitter thread https://twitter.com/Klonick/status/1...565300740?s=20 and the article accompanying it: https://www.forbes.com/sites/noahkir...h=652381d3decb

"In post-Covid New York, some listings are receiving multiple applications within 24 hours of hitting the market, sometimes before the applicant has even viewed the apartment in person, says Christian Emanuel, a real estate salesperson at Brown Harris Stevens."

Post covid, unless you have over 750 credit score. Work history etc you're not gonna land a decent apt. Nobody wants squatters and even section 8 recipients are not desirable anymore.

Most people living in NYC can't afford to rent what constitutes a "decent apartment" at market rates anyway

Doesn't matter, would you live by any of the L train stops in 2021?
