So then what do you blame for all of the gun violence in Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, Honduras, Venezuela etc etc.?
I bet you think USA is #1 in gun homicides per capita don't you?
I have no interest in violence level in the etc., etc. countries of the world or its causes. None of my business.
All I am certain of is that gun violence cannot be curtailed in the U.S. while the Second Amendment is on the books.

I've survived 40 years in this country without owning a gun, how the hell did I ever manage
Look at dry countries. They simply go to another county to buy booze. Blue counties? They go to another town and shop on Sundays. Guns are no different, people go where its easier to buy them and bring them back, suddenly its OMG how is this happening

Gunman on e-bike kills man sitting in car in E. Harlem
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An e-bike-riding gunman opened fire on a man as he sat inside a car in a deadly East Harlem shooting Sunday morning, police said.
The daytime shooting unfolded on Third Avenue, at E. 123rd Street, just before 11 a.m. when the gunman rode up on the bike and fired shots, according to police.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the victim sitting in his sedan with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified.
So go get licensed and buy a gun then to protect yourself
What more do you want from us

Oh, make no mistake about it, I know that the Sun may twinkle out before the U.S. gets rid of the Second Amendment.
Just saying that all this talk about the good and evil of guns and their possession and use is just a waste of breath.
Murder is part and parcel of the U.S.A, like most Fourth World countries ...always has been.
Gun control CANNOT become fact in the U.S., certainly not in the lifetime of any of the children on this forum, or their children's, children's, children. <credit to the Moody Blues.>

Yeah, good luck with changing the basis of a very profitable travesty of justice.
There is the wanton violence from guns, but then, you would have to do a sweeping examination of the promotional aspects of violence in history.
You can't beat Clint Eastwood's easy solution to a complicated problem.
Close the southern border, things will get better in years to come. Let europeans in if you want things to get better a bit sooner.
There, problem solved.
Might as well close the northern border as well... too many bad politicians, actors, and musicians...
