Occupancy and revenue remain low. With high operating costs hotels need as many heads in beds as possible. Normally most hotels are sold out this week. There is a concern about a Fall Covid spike also. The crime doesnt help like a few posters said also.
I was called to return, and declined. Too easy to get laid off quick again when the numbers are low. Sad as its one of the best times to visit normally.

No. Working full time for the past year. Its going to be rough times for those who just sat around when the extra $$ runs out and millions are suddenly scrambling last minute to get back to work. I made several posts about that.

There's not going be china flu spike just like late last year there wasn't a UK china flu spike notice how that crap faded away!?
I looked at hotels for a trip to NYC. The hotels have limited services, especially amenities such as breakfasts and snacks, but are charging full rates. Some are even including their usual "Resort Fees" and then say that due to covid, services may be abridged. Breakfast has been eliminated from most (all?) hotels that normally include it.
I haven't made any reservations because I refuse to pay full rates but receive reduced services.
