On a lesser note, Applebees in midtown is open. Saw all these massive, huge balloons on the sidewalk and I was like, wtf? Anyway...they're back (whether you want them to be or not). And midtown is getting kind of lively now (not just Hell's Kitchen). See more & more office workers. Men & ladies in suits looking for a bite to eat. I hope September brings more of 'em. Local businesses need them. Time to get back to the swing of things. If delta is kept in check, that is.

Rudy’s Bar and Grill, an iconic Manhattan watering hole, is back open after it had to close for the first time in a century amid the pandemic.
“This is one of the classics," said Danny DePamphilis, the general manager of Rudy’s, while shaking up a whiskey sour behind the bar. "It's unbelievable. People are happy again."
His world was turned upside down when the Hell’s Kitchen bar closed in March of last year due to COVID-19.
