I would love to see changes in our permits but knowing how New Yorkers constantly lose out in this area I am not counting on seeing a ccw permit actually come out of this hearing .
I am hoping that since the Supreme Court is actually hearing the cases that they really do want to make a change in our laws here….
I would even be happy to see the old target hunting permit come back ..at least if you got caught carrying it was a carry permit restricted by your choice and it was only an administrative violation .
Now with the resident permit it actually has criminal penalties carrying with it.
That is why they changed us over to it as many were carrying with the old classification
