What's funny is that I'm proven right as the days go on. NYC politician's solution to everything is more welfare. Take a look at this clown's revelation that water is wet and the only way to solve gun play is to shovel more taxpayer dollars to places that already live off of the taxpayer.

Didn't you know? Gang members just want to put in a hard day's work. They resort to crime because they don't have an opportunity to get a job.

Quote:
New York City’s public advocate is asking city, state, and federal officials to help people in under-resourced communities more easily access jobs, healthy food, and affordable housing to prevent shootings.
Water is wet and the sun rises in the east.

Quote:
The public advocate’s report focuses on the connections between gun violence and neighborhood conditions. A series of heat maps shows that many communities with high rates of shootings also have high levels of unemployment, mental distress, unaffordable housing, school absenteeism, and COVID-19 infections.
Of course, our great NYC politicians are experts in spending other people's money (to buy votes of course).

Quote:
The report concludes with a set of recommendations to address the root causes of gun violence. It asks New York City officials to:

Increase job opportunities, especially for young New Yorkers, by making the Summer Youth Employment Program year-round and accessible to undocumented residents
Consider providing cash incentives for people to take classes in de-escalation techniques or attend mental health counseling
Increase access to healthy and affordable food
Expand food stamps and other government programs that help people to buy food
Create more affordable housing
Pass the “good cause” eviction bill in Albany
Provide more funding to the Crisis Management System, so it can add more violence interruption sites and operate for longer hours
Invest more resources in a non-police response to mental health calls
Create a new three-digit number people can call for mental health crises, instead of 911

We know how to deal with crime, we've just lost the will to do it.

The woke progressives’ solutions to their failed woke policies is for more woke policies.

And the crazy part is that plenty of Leftists (even ones reading this now) actually believes them.

BTW, does that moron public advocate Jumaane Williams think he is doing anything new? Many of his “solutions” are all already done and have not only not worked but lead us to where we are now and yet he wants to double and triple down on it.

Print more money..............print more money...................print more money...........the government answer.............
The result?

Higher prices everywhere and those who work for a living.........hard work........dirty work.................
getting less bang for their buck.
