"Ravenswood Generating Station is the New York City fossil fuel plant that will become an offshore wind hub. It’s a 2,480-megawatt (MW) power plant in Long Island City, Queens, across from Roosevelt Island, and it’s the Big Apple’s largest power plant."

When we had the house in the poconos the town near us was talked in to putting in wind turbines .

It was horrible .

The whole town was complaining of a strobe effect that was making them crazy . Along with a hum

The farmers found the wind changes had certain insects and piers leave that were part of the farming cycle and they had hurt the farming bad..

Plus they never saw much of a rate reduction.

Unless these get located out at sea they create more problems then they solve

Not sure why they would commit to tidal power. They don't call it hells gate for nothing. https://www.energy.gov/eere/water/ar...k-s-east-river

Nuclear power plants are clean and efficient. Tech has come a long way. So far that is the best power source.

Yep. If you ain't talking about Nuclear energy you are not serious about clean energy.

While we are at it build some nuclear powered desalination plants and a pipeline system. Droughts solved.

All could have be done for what we spend on Ukraine and the 20 trillion down the drain in Afghanistan. Tsk tsk.
