I wish Hanks luck but the North Shore has the highest crime rate on S.I. and it's caused by it's own residents. Most of the crime in the better neighborhoods of SI is caused by North Shore residents.

Think only went out to SI Mall back in day only a few times, even then much of that was while in HS to hang out with friends.
Our family like many others from the Island did our shopping in New Jersey.
Area around ferry in Saint George is a CF. But it was a slow decay caused by many factors starting about 1980's.
Once things that anchored that area of North Shore left for South Shore or Mid-Island (Staten Island Hospital, HIP, College of Staten Island, etc...) things started going into rapid decline along Bay Street, Richmond Terrace and even Victory Blvd.
City keeps banging on about improving that part of NS, yet they keep shoving homeless shelters and low income housing down there.
Bay Street rot is starting to creep into Rosebank, that never happened before.
