My heart goes out to Parents with special needs children.
It's a lifetime of work and sacrifice for the parents.
It's hard enough taking care of yourself.
Imagine taking care of someone else besides?
It can make or break a marriage.
If there is room for the City to help I'm sure it will be made
available short of having a child become the ward of the state.
Another increase in taxes to those more fortunate.
That looks like a pretty nice free hotel room they're probably getting...with a mini fridge to boot. I'm sure there is some component of a stringer finding a sob story to pitch so they get paid a few bucks for the submission.
but they should have of thought this all out before they came here.
I cant understand that is all of Venezuela a bad place to live surely there has to be good parts of it?
from a humane standpoint it is terrible and tragic.
but then, on the other hand, what did these people expect?
your leaving your home, taking a 2 month excursion with the clothes on your back, no medicines or food, and then you get here and we here in america have our doors wide open, so then they get here and then have a revelation...
that it isnt as good as it was thought to be.
they are not allowed to cook? well, im sure thats for safety reasons.
After reading the whole article, I do feel bad, but then i think of my paycheck and all the taxes that get taken out, and all the medical deductions that get taken out, plus a deductible and a co-pay... hello???? and I'm a citizen here.
I know in order to get this free medical and food stamps you really have to have nothing, and these people really do have nothing.
But what did these people think was going to happen to them? I mean seriously, what did they think they were going to get once they got here?
and no one in the white house sees this as a problem?
So they were fine being disabled and traveling across TWO continents and EIGHT countries to get here, but now they want to act entitled about being disabled?!? I'm not trying to sound mean torwards disabled people, but REALLY?!?
“It would be nice if they let us bring stuff in to cook,” said de Bolivar in Spanish.
^^^ With WHAT grocery money (especially as high as groceries are these days)?!? GEEZ, these people are ENTITLED!!!
