Hi,
My husband and I will be moving to NYC for a year with our 2 year old daughter. We're looking into sublets in either Prospect Heights or Cobble Hill.

What area, would you say, is better for small children? I'll be watching my daughter for the year, and am hoping to have inexpensive, kid-friendly things to do with her during the day (read: a playground and the library). I know both areas have these things, but is there one that's better than the other, in your opinion?

Thanks!

cobble hill is overall safer. there are certain part of prospect heights that still have issues with crime, and schools in cobble hill are generally better as well.

Cobble Hill is much better choice if you have the luxury of picking from the 2.

Particularly since you mention small children, Cobble Hill.

I almost hate myself for saying this but... Have you considered Park Slope? better schools than both and tons of kids and young families.
