My fiance and i are visiting nyc for a week at the end of this month. I got tickets for blue man group...the show time is 10pm so it will get out around 12ish and i was curious if that part of town is safe that time of night? And the probably subway or maybe taxi ride home?

We are staying at the hilton new york on ave. of americas...

Also any spots around our hotel to watch out for?

First time in NYC!

Thanks!

You would have to take the 6 downtown to Astor Place.. this train is usually packed, so beware. This area is usually packed with people.. I used to hang out around there all the time. At night, there's still gonna be people walking around.. it's a safe area.

for the love of god... YOU WILL BE FINE IN THOSE AREAS AT ANY TIME.

As with ANY PLACE, just be aware of you surroundings at ALL times and don't walk right into trouble. Use common sense and enjoy your stay here.

I'd walk back to the hotel!

Default Are you referring

to Astor Plaza on 45th street that houses the Minskoff theater? You mention Astor Plaza but the others mention Astor Place which is in the village

The Blue Man group is down by Astor Place, so I'd assume that's what they're talking about.
