Does anyone know anything about the area around 35th Avenue and 81st Street?

Thank you!

This is a great area.. I live a few blocks away. You can walk along 37th ave. for your food needs, the 7 train is right on 82nd and Roosevelt. It's a mostly Hispanic neighborhood, but the buildings along 35th Ave. will show you that there's a lot of different races that live here; they just don't show up on the street, lol. Anything specific you want to know?

Thanks, Analytical Keys!

... Here's one. I dont know much about the 7 train but from what I can tell, it runs to both Times Square and Grand Central, which seems like it would make it easy to commute to anywhere in the city. Is that right? How is the 7 train service on the weekends?

And would you happen to know if there's a good veterinarian nearby?

Thanks again!

You are also by the E/F and R/V. It's a good spot for train services IMO.

The Q49 bus runs along 35th ave to the 74th St/Broadway bus terminal.

I believe my vet is on 72nd and 35th. It's about a 15 - 20 minute commute to the city. The only problem is, the 7 train is a little sporadic with service, it really depends on the times you're leaving. I can't give you an exact time-table for when it under construction, but if that's a problem, there's also the E/F/R/V on 74th street.. you can get there by walking (it's not that far), or the Q49 which stops along 35th ave. or the Q33 which goes up 82nd street.
