I don't know if getting a driver's license in the destination state automatically does it. I'm not worried about being registered to vote in two places - just that jury duty notices might show up years later at my old address.

You are correct in that getting a new driver's license establishes your residency, along with your tax filing, just be sure to register to vote at the same time, which some places allow at the DMV. If you cannot register to vote at the DMV, go to the local registrar, and if you need to find where that is located, contact an organization such as the League of Women Voters, inquire at the local library, or contact the local city/town representative for your new district.

I agree just register to vote in your new state according to your new address. I wouldn't worry about jury duty notices coming to your old address if you are no longer a resident in that county.
