Was anyone else having problems with Refilling their Metrocards this morning....

I tried 3 Credit Cards on 2 different machines at Canal street....NONE of them were accepting Credit or Debit.

I had to leave the subway and find an ATM to pay with Cash...

When I got to work, my co-workers stated they have the same problem @ their stations so it seemed to be Universal.

These Metrocard machines are meltdown are happening more and more frequently.

What do you guys think of the new 1$ surcharge for new Metrocards....Im all for it with a few caveots...

- Unlimiteds will need to become refillable.
- No Charge for replacing damaged and expired Metrocards
- The Metrocard Machines become equipped to replace Metrocards at the customers request

I think this will cut down on the insane amount of Metrocard litter in the subway...
