I also noticed how there are more white people around the area. The Bronx has definitely changed for the better. Some of the Housing Projects need to be torn down there are just way to many Webster from 171 to 168 is full off them.
Totally agree! These projects breed thugs and drug addicts who are obviously not good for society and bettering the Bronx. They need to be torn down asap!

Not to mention it destroys the youth I remember having to pick up my nephew from a baseball game at a field called Rainey around 163 and Intervale I took the short cut through a school yard to see young kids that must have been no older than ten throwing up bloods hand signs and yelling YG's and BG's

My area is rough but it's literally a one minute car ride to Kingsbridge which is urban but very nice, and also very near Norwood, Riverdale, City Island, etc.

The Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens; City Island, etc.--the Bronx is beautiful and diverse.

I used to spend a fortune going to Montauk in the summer, but now realize that I can hop on the bus and be at Orchard Beach within about 20 or 30 minutes, and City Island is way nicer than Montauk; a Bronx version of the Hamptons with art galleries, antique shops, great restaurants, and views of the harbor, fishing boats, etc.

Tons of greenery and parkland everywhere you turn.

Plenty of culture including museums, galleries, antique stores, clubs and coffee houses, historic landmarks, and so on. Fordham Road and other areas have terrific shopping, and best of all, cheap. The cost of living is much lower than Manhattan.

Oh and don't forget Parkchester; great shopping, nice apts for sale or rent at very reasonable prices; art deco fountain and detailing in the complex, and so on.

I hear Pelham Bay is great too.

The Bronx is also home to the best High School in New York City, The Bronx High School of Science.

Bronx is on the American mainland, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten island are off shore the American mainland. If anyone really wants to visit America and touch American soil should visit the Bronx.
