West 133rd Street and Malcolm X Blvd. (Lenox: apartment, safe area)

What can you guys tell me about the area around West 133rd Street and Malcolm X Blvd (Lenox Ave). I am looking for an apartment. I need an honest answer as to how safe it is for a single, female who works late to be living in this area. Any info you can give me on this area would be great.

It's not exactly the safest part of Harlem... I don't live in Harlem, but I wouldn't recommend living around there if you work late.

That's around Lenox Terrace, where a lot of the Harlem political elite live. It's a safe area and is busy enough at night. The 2/3 is right there. You'll just have to get used to men on the corner catcalling at you.

Its pretty safe..There r far worse parts of Harlem IMO
