Hi again, I am excited but my husband says it's different than Bergen County NJ that we live in. He is nervous. FIrst off he is not a yuppie, he is an auto mechanic so he is not a high class guy. I don't know why he thinks people are different there I dont see it. I see everyone great! I am tired of seeing everything so god damn fancy here. My question is are people gonna hate us? He sees thing so different and I see it great. Anyone see a difference between NJ and Clinton COunty?? House is outside of Plattsburgh and I find it heaven. I hate NJ and I think life will be better. Any advise? Marilyn

Because of the college, you get people from all over. You will have no problem being accepted. I do notice a difference in people. People seem to be much more friendly up there. People are much more slower paced. People enjoy different things than people in NJ do. Lots of hunting and fishing types up there. You'll be fine.

Default The Burgh

If you can find a job, move up here. Safe, cheap, with nice people. The summers are glorious; just went to a NASCAR race in Montreal and now my family's out on a hike. The only problem I find with the place is the people are so self-effacing and humble, they're not very good at selling it--and that's why Burlington's economy has grown so much faster. But luckily, it's nowhere near as smug as Burlington.
