I found the Upstate venue in Woodstock very uncomfortable. It's an old town hall (or maybe a church?, I can't recall), but whatever it used to be, it isn't a comfy place to view a movie, at all. Went once maybe three years ago, and never went back.
The cute Rhinebeck location on the other hand is a good place to sit back, eat some popcorn, enjoy a movie, and feel like you're in a theater. We used to go there frequently.

Perhaps the Woodstock branch is the epitome of a small town movie theater? And I won't be surprised if they are the only one showing indie films for miles around Woodstock.
