Wondering if anyone takes the metro north "upstate" and has to switch from one line to another. I live in Riverdale, and I'm interviewing for a position in white plains. I tried to look at the fares with the etix app, and also online, but it doesn't allow me to as it says not route available.
So my questions is, would a monthly pass cover both lines? I'm thinking of going Riverdale > Harlem 125 then switch there to a Harlem line train to white plains.
If anyone would know if that's possible, and also what the monthly rate would be, I would appreciate it.
Driving yourself takes about 20 minutes (depending upon traffic). The other options (train or bus) will easily run one hour plus. Think that was the message previous poster wished to convey.
Sometimes you simply have to go down and speak with someone in person to get a correct answer. That is take a trip to nearest MN ticket office (or if in NYC their information center at GCT) and ask.
Thus it *seems* like using a monthly pass to get from Riverdale down to Harlem/125, then going further up north to White Plains "isn't allowed" because WP is not in the allowable zone.
