I'm looking to find out information about how the district compares to others in the Finger Lakes. Also, what is the quality of life there? I've spent time in Geneva, Ithaca, and Watkin's Glen and I enjoyed the small town feel of those towns. Is Cortland really a "city"?
Thanks!

If you're from the NYC metro area, it definitely isn't considered a city. I went to college there, and it was just like any other town to me, with very small towns surrounding it. I didn't think there was much there except bars. And for a college student that doesn't drink, it didn't offer that much to me.
But the locals I worked with on campus loved it there. This is just coming from what a lot of the Long Islanders in the school thought.
I also worked in the schools a little bit since I'm a childhood education student. The schools are pretty good.
