Thank you for this thread, djohanna. I love seeing what makes people tick. I love that everyone isn't the same. Sadly, I didn't always feel this way. I was raised in a household with parents who had your viewpoint. I have done everything in my power to see that my children do not stray into that type of thinking. Your thread inspired me so much...that I even found a wonderful little piece on the Internet, which I reformatted, put on some lovely cardstock and posted to my refrigerator door.


My experience is that attempts to be perfect are indicators of unresolved inner conflicts.

The eventual outcome of perfectionism includes feelings of failure and unkind dissatisfaction with the activities of our loved ones when they can’t measure up
