Do you have a best friend other than your spouse or SO? If so how close are you to him/her? Are you texting, emailing or calling him/her daily, weekly or monthly? Are you telling him/her your hopes, dreams and keeping him/her involved in the soap opera that is your life? Do you see each other often?

TV and movies are full of story lines that show people who are best friends and in many cases especially with women these "best friends" are closer than spouses and family. Can you relate to a real close best friend who is like this? Or is this only in the movies and with teenagers?

I haven't emailed her in a long time. I am planning to send her a letter tied to a dove's leg, asking her to email me.

I'd say I've got three best friends.

Friend A: Every couple of days
Friend B: Usually every day
Friend C: Every so often

As you might have guessed, friend A is pretty "independent" I suppose, friend B is... I don't want to say needy because that has a negative connotation, but that's the only word I can think of, and friend C is an introvert but we're still good friends.

And I'm 19, and my friends are around the same age. I think as you get older you don't stay in as much contact with your 'besties' but when you see each other it's just like old times.

My best friend just pretty much dumped me

We used to talk every morning before we went on with our days and text throughout the day. Now, she hardly ever calls me unless I call her.

I have a best friend and we live miles apart. We talk every other day and email each other frequently. We always joked that when we get older we will be like the Golden Girls!

Yes, but have you ever considered pigeon carrier with a note tied to the pigeons leg flying in a northwest pattern with southeast winds and a barometric pressure of 30 millibars ?

My pigeon is a white collar carrier and does not like to work under pressure. It does not travel the weekend too. Hopefully, it does not get shot when it flies over the Israeli-Palestinian border.
