If they are gossiping about everybody else, than there is a good chance everyone knows what they are like and no one really believes what they are saying about you. So you may have less to worry about than you think.

But I would avoid them and stop going over there and participating in the gossip. You need some new people to socialize with.

I know this is possible, those people have special abilities to sense the slightest hint. They are gems with exceptional people skills, in demand by smart employers as bosses that will get results not resentments.
