He chews his food like a horse eating hay and it is driving me nuts. I even heard him once admit he has been told he chews like a slob. We are sitting in an open area and I have to hear this every day! Yeah, I know, life is real rough. But seriously...

It sounds like he eats at his desk? Go to lunch when he starts to eat. Isn't there a cafeteria or employee lounge?

Sounds like you are just nit picking at him for some reason. If not how he eats, you would fine something else to complain about him

I have one of these next to me, and no, in one of my offices there is no cafeteria/lounge/kitchen/break room. I put on headphones.

Only obnoxious people with no self awareness will reply calling you out for being too "OCD." I'd send him an anonymous email (search the web) asking him nicely to please eat his food elsewhere.

Damn I love working from home.....ALONE!

That is annoying as hell. I would find something to do while he is eating. Get up and go for a walk.

I work from home, too and don't miss this ONE BIT. Unfortunately, though, someone in my family chews like a slob. I swear I have misophonia because it takes a huge amount of restraint to not punch a hole in the wall.

Noise cancelling headphones.

I've actually put them on when my family member eats (if we're eating in the living room). I don't need to be listening to anything, they just cancel out the noise but I pretend I'm watching Youtube videos.
