Can any one relate or have any commentary on a grown adult man who actually imitates awful characters from television. This long time friend I keep at a distance had a prior fascination with television mobster characters "The Sopranos". It was so irritating because he had a demeanor of a TV mob boss that was getting out of hand.
More recently he has been doing the Archie Bunker uptight demeanor and character in daily life because he thinks it's cool: he actually takes on the Archie Bunker irritating persona and thinks it is cool to relate to others in this callous way. He does not do this for laughs: he does this because he seriously thinks he can get his way with others, demonstrate "power", and show off how important he is just like the Archie Bunker character on TV. This has been going on for several years and I personally don't understand it or like it.
