I just had someone I didn't know ask to become a "friend". I replied that I don't know this person. (did NOT make him a friend)
He sent 2 more messages saying "he wants to get to know me", etc etc.
I promptly deleted them, blocked them, and reported them as harrassment. Is there anything else I can do? I don't go on FB much, and I don't give any personal info on my profile.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else here?
* I should post his name here so others can be warned of any contact!!?
I'm going to keep reporting it if I get it again. I will make copies of the messages and send them to FB corporate offices. maybe threaten them if they don't make it stop.
Guess it comes with the territory of things like FB, etc. Which is why I don't participate in 98% of this crap. I used it once to find an ex, I'm not obsessed with it like some people.

I love it when I'm doing some light internet stalking and find out later on that they have a public profile on myspace or facebook. Wow, 457 pictures...yes please!

Have you fixed your settings appropriately on Facebook? I don't have a Facebook account, but by reading the New York Times today there was an article on Facebook and I learned there's settings so you only have a certain group of friends on there, so that you're not wide open for people to bother you.
I have had a few girls add me on that site, and I had no clue who they were. Ended up talking to them/hanging out and made some awesome new friends. It's not something I would freak out about. I mean it is a SOCIAL NETWORKING site. If you ignore them, most likely they will go away.
