Curious about Leading an Independent Life (Southern Pines, Pinehurst: utilities, living in, average cost)

Hi,
My better half and I are looking into the cost of living in Moore County. We're looking to stay somewhere in Aberdeen, Pinehurst or Southern Pines.
I've tried my best to calculate the cost of food, utilities and other things weighted in the cost of living, but only to no avail.

Does anyone know what the average cost of utilities is in this county? Or what the average cost of living is in general for two people living in this county? I figure it exceeds $1,100, but I'm hoping it does not.

There are a lot of wealthy retirees in Moore county whose average cost is quite above that and pull up the average. It's fairly irrelevant what the "average" cost is, but whether you can live there on your budget.
