New to NC, looking for advice

I do have another question that is a bit more sensitive in nature (my apologies if this question inadvertently offends anyone). At the risk of coming across as ignorant , my sister is a younger (early twenties) asian girl, so are there other things that she should be aware of, as far as places not to go or things not to do?

This isn't just in regards to Clinton, but more of the Raleigh area in general. Coming from the West coast, we really aren't sure what she should expect to find. I'm wondering if there is a prevalent gang problem, drug problem, crime levels, etc., as she is going to be there for about a month and isn't the most street smart girl, unfortunately.

Oh no, she's got nothing to worry about in Clinton. Just be safe at Walmart, especially at night. Clinton is REALLY [i]VERY[i] small town, country-sort of place. We're just good ol' folks! She just needs to be sure to lock her doors, don't leave her purse or other valuables in plain sight, and be aware of her surroundings--just like you would anywhere else.

Right now, think we are looking at either the Comfort Inn or the Inn at Clinton. I'm sure she will have a positive experience in North Carolina!
