Which is best for next governor?

Lt. Governor Walter Dalton, Rep. Bill Faison, Former Rep. Bob Etheridge?

Which of these candidates would best for this state moving forward or beat former mayor Pat McCrory?
I would love for you to share why they make a good candidate.

Can Etheridge be a serious candidate? I would also think we would want to step away from the Perdew / Easley connection of having the Lt. Gov in office carrying on the same policies.

Is this the best there is? Starting to look like the republican presidemtial line up, a bit too laughable?

The state party loathes Faison for some reason. Weak field all around, and if there's any brains in the room they'll be dumping resources into getting the legislature back and not worrying about McCrory.

I'll vote for Etheridge, he has a good record with education, but I think Dalton is more organized (as he should be).

I know Walter Dalton personally and I can attest to his passion and character. He truly has the best interest of the people at heart.

The state party loathes Faison because he did a take down on Bev Purdue before she said she was not running in the hopes that he could run if she declined to. I will not vote for him, but that is because of local Orange County reasons rather then state party issues.

As to who I am voting for between the other two I honestly have no idea. I will have to research it more.

Anyone but McCrory, unfortunately the Charlotte DEMOCRATS will vote him in.

Are any of these guys any good -- and by that I mean, intelligent, articulate, experienced. Do any of them have the wherewithall to reach across the isle and devine the best solution for the state?

Jeez, it seems the dems can't find anyone decent, locally, much the same as the GOP nationally.

It really depends more on how the legislature shakes out. If the current majority stays and one of the Democrats wins, we'll get four more years of the same nonsense. Probably not the case vice versa. McCrory likely wouldn't risk being painted as hyperpartisan by vetoing everything that came out of a Democratic-controlled legislature.
