Which neighbor do you prefer (include Tennessee and Georgia if you like)? This can be anything, from which state you believe is more similar to NC, which state you enjoy traveling in, etc.

I prefer Virginia to both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Closer, cheaper gas, cheaper alcohol.

NoVa and Southern VA are so distinctly different can we count them as one state anymore? It's almost like NYC and Upstate NY..

There are regions of both states I like and dislike.

I live in NC and prefer VA but it's city vs country for me. Gas is always a lot cheaper in VA as well.

Prefer VA. SC just seems so ugly to me except Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Greenville. It's so blah. I do love Greenville though. I wouldn't mind living there.

How much of SC have you seen outside of the interstate and those cities? I ask because I know that there's little to nothing to pique one's interest driving through the state along interstates.

I find Tennessee and Georgia both more interesting than our more connected neighbors. I like the cities in those states a bit more. Virginia at least seems to be improving politically, due to NOVA. It has some good historical sites throughout. South Carolina... not a big fan. I'll take the mustard BBQ but I don't need the rest of the state around it.
