I believe it'll be close, but I think Trump would end up carrying the state by a tiny margin.
As for the Governor's race, I'd say it would be a Toss up (unfortunately). However, I expect McCrory to lose Mecklenburg county this time. It's a toss up on whether he'll end up losing Wake too.
New Hanover (as a county) would still be voting red, but I don't think the city of Wilmington would vote for him.
Lenior and Watagua would be interesting to watch. Senior was very close in the Presidential race last time.
Keep in mind starting this November there is no straight party voting so expect long voting lines.
My voting is mix with some R's and some D's

Whoever's behind me will be a lucky bird. I'll be voting for whomever has the D beside his/her name.
I think it'll be very close. Both Hillary and Trump should focus plenty of effort on winning NC. Trump may expend some additional effort, however, trying to flip northern, traditionally blue rust belt states, leaving Clinton doing possibly more ground work in NC

I think that's the case already. Clinton has already purchased quite a bit of ad time in all of the swing states (including NC). Trump has purchased none.

Clinton also reportedly has a much better organized campaign. Trump's forte is flying around the country in his plane and giving speeches (all with largely the same content).
That doesn't work picking judges. I usually go to their campaign site and look for things that tell which way they lean.
