Here is the exact federal Title IX statement regarding transgender students.

"All students, including transgender students and students who do not conform to sex stereotypes, are protected from sex-based discrimination under Title IX," the memo reads. "Under Title IX, a recipient generally must treat transgender students consistent with their gender identity in all aspects of the planning, implementation, enrollment, operation, and evaluation of single-sex classes."

North Carolina’s new law specifically prohibits schools from allowing transgender students to use bathrooms consistent with their gender identity.

Major case in this matter is under review at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals (the federal appeal court that covers NC), and in the opinion of legal experts, the transgender student will win on appeal.

This user has made a bunch of topics on the bathroom issue maybe he should just post them in the general discussion instead of spreading rumours and advocating in all these disparate topics

I agree. There's already a main thread on the new law. How many different threads on this do we need?

The loss of Title IX is now in the federal appeals court and is being challenged.

"The appeal states the judge refused expert witness testimony, allowed hearsay evidence on behalf of the school district but not on behalf of the student, refused testimony from the student, referred to the student as having a "mental disorder" – even after being informed that "The American Psychiatric Association has made clear that Gender Dysphoria should not be described as a ‘disorder’" – and went off on a tangent about federal policies concerning drug use, immigration and other unrelated issues."

Pretty clear that the ruling of the 4th will go against the judge and NC will lose the $4.5 billion in Title IX funding unless they repeal the law. FYI, GA has already asked the NBA to move the tournament from Charlotte to Atlanta.

The NCAA took SC off the list for tournament venues when they put the Confederate flag at the capital and SC has not seen an NCAA tournament in over 40 years.

The Atlanta City Council were the ones that asked the NBA to move the All-Star game to Atlanta, not the state of GA. I thought that was selfish of Atlanta. Atlanta seemed to be under the impression that Charlotte supported HB2, which is obviously false. Atlanta barely escaped a similar fate, so it makes no sense that they're trying to kick Charlotte when it's down.

Is Georgia also going to ask the NBA to allow woman to play in the Allstar game or they okay with misogyny?

How so? The U.S. military is now allowing woman in combat roles. Are you saying the NBA can't find a few woman that can play professional basketball? Sounds a little close minded of you.

Is this the same argument that didn't work against gay marriage? "If 2 men can marry, then I can marry a Donkey?"

If the government can send me to jail for killing somebody, will they send me to jail because they don't like my hair color?

If government can set speed limits, can they create limits on how much we walk?

Yeah.... Those bozo arguments aren't typically the hallmarks of intellectual reasonings.

It is not being misogynistic to believe that no woman currently has the skill to play in an NBA all-star game.
