Keep cringing then lol. Charlotte area is growing on par with the Triangle. Why isn't it dominating like Atlanta is in Georgia?

What's happening in Charlotte now is similar to what DC and Atl saw in the 1970s and 1980s. Ironically, Atl hosted the 1988 DNC convention (Charlotte hosted the 2012 DNC). So far, the Feds have invested nearly 1 billion dollars into Charlotte's mass transit. They also hired Charlotte's mayor to be the US Transportation Secretary. There are clear and obvious signs that Charlotte's suburban development pattern is under attack (especially in neighborhoods close to uptown and transit lines). The conservative values of Charlotte are also under attack.

This is different than just rapid growth. You can really feel that this city is growing AND changing. If you have never been to celebrations such as Pride Charlotte, you should go. It's an actual "normal" city festival now. People go there with their children and think nothing of it. This is what I mean when I say evolution into a real city. There is certainly a major shift going on right now in Charlotte, and it isn't just some new skyscraper (those are still being built too by the way).
Your hype is cute, and Charlotte is indeed improving, but it's not so impressive when you compare it's growth to the Triangle's. Charlotte can't compare to Atlanta ( the city it desperately wants to be). I admire you trying though.

I believe you the only the that brings up that Charlotte is trying to be like any other city in the US. This isn't a v thread at all. If so please feel free to the City Vs City forum and start a thread there. Myself and everyone else would greatly appreciate it. Just to give you a fair word of caution, that topic has been beating to death (LITERALLY) so more than likely a moderator will close it just to save everyone the agony. Sooo knock yourself out. If you need any additional info on how to get to the City Vs City forum feel free to Pm me and im more then willing to send you the link.

Look at a map of Georgia & one of North Carolina. That should answer your question concerning dominance.

I'm so surprised how much people entertain the obvious intention behind this topic.

What's the obvious intention? Just because I ask an honest question, and don't sugar coat my feelings towards an overrated city, I have a dishonest intention?

You tried though
