Hello everyone,

we just received a contract for our home last night and will be looking at property around the Lenoir area. Our problem we have a boat 19 feet, my husband and the boys love to fish. Well mostly my husband, I guess my question is how far is a big lake form where we will be looking for property and do those lakes have ramps to put your boat in the water or do you have to rent a docking ramp. In Florida you could just take your boat to the ocean and use a public ramp to put it in the water. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Default keep the boat

Lots of lakes in the area. 10 mins out of Lenoir is Lake Rhodhiss (check out www.hayesmilllanding.com) (broken link). Lake Hickory is nearby as well. Also lots of camping areas.
A short day trip will take you anywhere in the state.
About an hour a way is Lake Lure where Dirty Dancing was filmed or Lake Norman in Huntersville. Also High Mountain Lake.

Almost all of them offer a boat launch to drop that sucker in the water.
