Food trucks get 45 days to move out of Watford City
This is kind of sad really. Can't say I've done business with any of them but I heard they were pretty good. You can't get in to a restaurant in town these days so they were doing a service to the area. And the one they highlighted in the article was the one causing the problems, parking where ever they pleased - no permission from property owners. The rest of them were trying to do it right, paying rent, etc. Too bad imo.

I agree. Seems like they could make some allowances for the food trucks that are in compliance. Specially since so many folks are benefiting that otherwise probably aren't eating decently. Maybe things will change if people say something. Thanks for the article.

I agree too, it's actually a pretty good service and the ones I tried in Williston were really yummy. Seriously, it's getting frustrating when decisions are made like this. I can't believe they are going to try and charge them $50 a day where they park it in city limits.

The article doesn't say, but I wonder if they are going to get some ammenities at the fairground, i.e. restrooms, power, water, sewer, trash, or any part of that?
Actually, the food truck they highlight in the article is in complete compliance with all state and city laws, has a lease for the property and pays an equal percentage of taxes. Is it a coincidence they parked next to the mayor's niece's restaurant. Small town politics is above the law.

I stand corrected
One question though - assuming this is the issue - what sort of politics would one expect to find in a small town, where nearly everyone is related to some degree? Not saying it's right, just that it is what it is. They're cousins

So, whatever happened in regards to this? What was decided upon? I only see a truck selling tool now and then that parks at the fairgrounds.
