If its your thing then have at it. I wouldn't drive from Wilkes-Barre for it.

Last one I did some guy tried to pass off pictures of an Asian girl wrapped in saran wrap as art.....

Its Scranton, its about as culturally diverse as a small town in Appalachia....

Yes I do enjoy art Dan.
Not surprised that you would not drive TO Scranton since you hate it there.

Better question - why do you not drive FROM Scranton very far and very fast to a place that you like?

I could walk downtown in about 10 minutes and I still wouldn't go. I know my friends uncle is showing tonight, and well I have other things to do. You want to drive from WB then fine do it, but I doubt its anything like your thinking. A few stores and galleries will have some stuff hanging and you can walk around from place to place, that is it. No crowds and not much that I would go out of my way to see.

You asked and I'm telling you.

As far as what I do and don't like, you have no idea. I don't like the city and what I don't like has nothing to do with exterior appearances. Knock off your crap..

I'm sure what you and I consider art is vastly different. Velvet elvis isn't my thing.

I was Downtown tonight, not for the art walk though. While it was freezing and pouring, there was a good number of people walking around the streets. No body can say that Downtown was dead tonight, that's for sure. I saw at least two locations where there were large groups of people (like 20+) gathered outside. It didn't look like the cold or rain was even bothering them.

Also, there, believe it or not, was activity at the Connell Building. I saw multiple people entering and exiting the building as well as a group congregated in the lobby. Also, based on the number of lights on inside the building, it appears that there is a good number of residents who have moved in.

Might I just take this moment to remind you folks that it is very easy to ignore someone on CD. PM if you have any questions.

I haven't even done the Wilkes-Barre art walk yet. We don't have a sitter right now and I would never take the kids near fine works of art, especially my younger one. LOL

What type of art is invoved?
Obviously if it is of the motel / velvet Elvis variety I would not be interested.

weluvpa I really do not think that you think that I like painting on velvet or "art" involving shelacked pieces of wood and Eagels, or bucks for that matter.

I think that you post to be snarky. You have said youself that it gived you joy to make fun of others.

I think that is sad!

The forun is a wonderful place to exchange information and trade advice and tips - with new comers and old timers alike.
Why don't you try using it as such?

Yeh ok sure I'll look into that. Thanks for the heads-up. Maybe I post to be snarky, thats fine with me. You don't have to like it, nor me for that matter. I don't care. We really won't get into what is sad around here....
