So we can't bash latino's, but the rest of the minorities are open targets?

Sorry, but unfortunately its hard to discuss gangs without talking about minorities and white trash.

What is "the area" they're talking about? The entire NEPA area could easily hold 27 or more gangs. For the general public that doesn't work in prisons or in law enforcement, what would be the point of listing all 27 gang names?

It's more important to discuss what can be done to protect our kids from gangs, and to offer alternative activities for them.

And we could discuss how nice it would be if mothers were married to the fathers of their children. Then kids would not have to look for "adult" male role models outside the home.

im sure ill be in the minority in this but one huge blow that can be given to gangs as far as financially is ending the war on drugs. Legalization is proven to take away the criminal black market aspect of prohibition as with Alcohol and the gangs in the 1930's. now will they find other things to push? depends on how organized these gangs are. You can not doubt it would put a dent in the street violence as there would be less of a need to protect ones territory if they moved on to other things.

Stopping Gangs that are just gangs to promote violence or prejudice against another race? well thousands of years of history has no real solution for that...

There's more than 29 dangerous gangs in this area, once you count all the city halls, courthouses, and school boards in the area. They're easily spotted by their suits and wingtips.

if the names, colors, etc are brought out to the public it will help families that care look more closely at their kids and alert non law enforcement residents to become more observant.Keeping this info to just law HELPS these gangs to fly under the radar and recruit kids imo

I agree. It doesn't help to say "watch your child for changes in behavior". Anybody who thinks that's a tell never had a pre-pubescent boy in the house.

It's imperative to keep your children busy with school, church, sports, scouting, volunteering, anything that you can do together. I have seen too many parents throw their hands up in the air and say, "What are you gonna do?" Try being a parent.
