future plans are great but what about now???
You always sound as if you hate this area. You sound very unhappy and you also sounded happy that you were leaving.

As far as future plans: I am watching major progress on the Brookdale renovation. I do not know what is holding up the new Lehigh Hospital; but it is supposed to start anytime now - maybe they are waiting for Spring. As far as the Blakeslee project; I do not get over there that often. I have not heard anything since the announcement. I do try to post new facilities when I hear about them.

again so off base and point not the area as much as being fed up with people's attitude and off base attributes they give to others when they themselves are a mess . Having traveled and lived throughout the United states, this annoying behavior is on a large scale in nepa . NO WONDER TRUMP IS POPULAR HERE!!

BTW am ALWAYS HAPPY TRAVELING AWAY NO MATTER WHERE I GO ESPECIALLY IF ITS WARMER.

ON TOPIC AND OFF ME Plz. construction holdups here occur when difficulty in deciding who gets to pocket extra money occurs-----traditionally this puts medical projects way back.

IT HAS TAKEN GEISINGER NOW ALMOST ONE YEAR TO FINISH BUILDING A SMALL OUTPATIENT CENTER NEARBY THE SIZE THAT CAN FIT EASILY INTO A WALMART

The Brookdale project is moving very fast. Everything, when it comes to medicine or food, takes more time because of the regulations. They are not local regulations; but State and National regulations that have been put in place to protect the public. Personally I think we have taken those regulations too far where they hinder development; but it's not my call. You would have to ask somebody in charge of that Geisinger project what was the holdup.

Trump wasn't popular enough here; we still have Casey!

I am afraid I would never be able to contribute to drump and repub base as well as you and rest of repub here do.

I prefer to contribute to a base that can think for themselves, not follow faux news and support politicians on their MERIT NOT PARTY

Wading into this only because we're seriously considering moving to NEPA. And I don't mean to start a political argument about left vs. right vs. whatever, but....

What is the general feel of political sentiment in the area? We are very liberal Democrats (don't attack me - I have not the slightest interest in attacking anyone with the opposite sentiment), and have long lived in liberal communities; NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Currently we live in a very blue town set within in a very red congressional district set in a blue state... so it's a bit of mix but our day-to-day environment is quite politically liberal.

Would we feel surrounded by very conservative points-of-view, isolated as liberal Dems in NEPA?

I wouldn't say this is the most important factor in deciding where to live --I appreciate people with different perspectives-- but would we find enough like-minds to at least not feel all alone?
