From today's Philadelphia Inquirer - The magic of Scranton | Philadelphia Inquirer | 08/09/2009 (http://www.philly.com/philly/travel/52535422.html - broken link)

"SCRANTON - These days, it's best known as the setting of the quirky TV sitcom The Office, or as Electric City, because it operated the first electric trolley system.

But it was daredevil Harry Houdini who lured me here - and he's been dead for 83 years. Now, that's a magic trick." ...

I think this is wonderful! Scranton is a great city and I think it is great that they enjoyed their trip here. They have all good to say and that is what I've been saying all along. Scranton is a city with a lot to do and I think it is important that other people understand that. This article was good because it let people know that there really is a lot of things to do here in the city and hopefully more people will start to realize that!

Thanks for the link TBT! I agree with TEC. I think Scranton has *alot* going for it. Sure, it has it's problems, but the positives are still there.

It's nice to see something good about Scranton from an outsider's point of view. Living here, we sometimes get carried away by the problems in our city, that we forget all the good things about it. Remember, the grass is always greener on the other side.
