I know it's early, but we'd like to get a head start on planning our NYE festivities this year. Usually we stay in, but this year we're having visitors fly in from FL, and we want to take them out somewhere really nice. We would like to find somewhere classy where we can get dressed up nice, enjoy dinner, maybe some dancing, a champagne toast at midnight, the whole package Has anyone heard of any happenings this year?

If no one chimes in, I'd start by looking here:

The Weekender | The Weekender, Northeast PA and here:

Electric City/Diamond City - Northeast PA's free entertainment weekly. Find events and restaurants in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and NEPA.

Stay home save the money .. Watch the ball drop from the comfort of your own home ..

Or Host your own Party ...

Going out is over rated ..

And driving with a slew of drunks on the road just aint worth it ..

I stay in every year. I don't want to host a party...I want to relax, not take care of guests....out....dressed up....night on the town. Not overrated to me!

I did Roxxy, but I think that's too far for us. We don't want to have to get a hotel room. We all have pets we need to be home for...We're trying to keep it to the WB, Scranton area....should have mentioned that in my first post! It looks like a lovely place though. Hope you have a blast!!

First night looks good...I am on the fence. I have only been out once on New Years eve (when I was 16), I worry about all the people that drink and drive and my children have always enjoyed staying home. I would like to take lil man to first night, but hubby has the major vote.
