I actually like Scranton and would especially LOVE to see the downtown area revitalized, but my problem with it is that jobs in my field are scarce and when I do happen to see an opening, the salaries are extremely low. I know the cost of living is lower than larger cities like DC or New York, but the salaries are generally so low to the point that it doesn't make it worth it to even consider a move.

Just as an aside, I grew up in Schuylkill County and had a job that brought me to Scranton and Wilkes-Barre regularly between 2001 and 2004, but haven't been there since I moved from PA in '05.

Not nearly as suspicious as the $10,000 shell game the mayor did with ECTV or the $12,000,000 found in the tax office or the sudden increase of millions of dollars of wage taxes being suddenly collected after the FBI showed up. Same goes for the county solicitor that misteriously paid his $46,000 tax bill after the FBI showed up or Kane Trucking suddenly realizing that they owed $1,500,000 in back taxes. There is lots of suspicious things going on in the city and the Secret Service, FBI and attorney general are watching.

Good thing your crack detective team headed by Lyman is on the case.

Lyman is his own worst enemy...Its funny that a crony like yourself seems to think that Ray Lyman is suspicious but not the fact that feds have been crawling all over the city for a year now..

The line was taken from one of his council appearences. He says "This is a little suspicious" about 15 times....It was ment as a joke. You really need to lighten up.

"HIGH OCCURRENCE OF ANIMAL ABUSE"!!! Are you kidding me? I haven't heard about that. I used to feel guilty using the word "hate" when talking about my old home town of Scranton, (I haven't lived there in over 20 years), but if this abuse is true, I no longer feel guilty.

I don't think there's any more animal abuse here than anywhere else. Doesn't seem to be rampant.

Thanks, that's good to hear. Although it makes me sick that it exists everywhere to a degree.

With all due respect I think it's time we lay off of Mr. Lyman. I know I myself just regrettably made a snide comment last night as well, but if he is indeed mentally retarded, then it is in VERY poor taste for us to be poking fun at his legally-questionable escapades for his YouTube fan base. If he's not mentally challenged and is just a bit malcontented, like Les Spindler or Fay Franus, then he's fair game in my book for criticism.
